All of Yakima County is within the service area of the Yakima Valley Regional Library. If you live or own property in Yakima County you may get a free library card, and use it in all nineteen (19) libraries in our district. The city of Grandview has its own public library; and Grandview residents may purchase a YVRL card at the nonresident rate. Others who do not live or own property in our service area may also be able to purchase a non-resident card.
Your first card is free! A replacement card costs $1.00.
You must present your library card every time you check out an item.

To apply for an adult library card:

Children and minors under 18 years old must have their application signed by either their mother, father, or legal guardian. They do not have to show proof of their identity.
To apply for a library card for children and teens under 18 years old:

To apply for a library card if you do not live within the Yakima Valley Regional Library service area:
PROVISIONAL LIBRARY CARD
The Provisional Library Card is for people who live in our service district, but who do not yet have proof of current address(examples: new residents or people in transitional housing).
To apply for a Provisional Library Card:
Once you provide the library with proof of current address your card will be converted to regular status.
