Outreach Services

If you are physically unable to visit your local library and carry your library materials home, ask the library to come to you!

Outreach Services brings library materials to people who are homebound, in assisted living facilities and nursing homes. You can sign up for deliveries through the mail, or by personal visit, depending upon your physical abilities and where you live.

Once you are signed up, you may request specific books, tapes, and other materials. If you wish, we will choose materials for you based on your tastes. We have an extensive Large-Print book collection, magazines, books on cassette, and books on CD. We can also help you sign up for the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library (for people who are unable to read regular print books).

If you live in an assisted living facility or nursing home, check with your activities director for our next scheduled stop.
