Interlibrary Loan Services

Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows Yakima Valley Libraries card-holders to borrow books, audio books, videos, DVDs, CDs, copies of articles and microfilm not owned by the Yakima Valley Libraries system.

Locating and receiving a requested item takes from two to six weeks. If you need the item quickly, please let us know when you make your request. Most items can be picked up at any Yakima Valley Libraries location of your choice. Microfilm can be viewed at the Downtown Yakima Library only.

Yakima Valley Libraries does not charge for interlibrary loan services and is able to fill most requests through other non-charging libraries. Some libraries, however, do charge fees ranging from $5 to $20. These costs are passed on to you, the borrower.

To use interlibrary loan services you must have a Yakima Valley Libraries card and no fines or fees over $10.
