FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

PURPOSE
Friends promote, encourage and support the work of local libraries through activities that include fundraising; gathering support for library projects; sponsoring special projects; and keeping the library in the forefront of the community.
Friends groups are community members who care deeply about their libraries and who use their imaginations, energies, and experiences to strengthen and expand library services.
ACTIVITIES
Activities may include: the raising of funds for equipment, materials, and other library projects which are not funded in the library's budget; sponsoring of culturally enriching community programs such as talks, exhibits, films, etc.; and fostering support for the library in the communities.
