From I-82 northbound:

  1. Go north on I-82 to Highway 12 (Naches-White Pass-40th Ave.), Exit 31.
  2. Stay on Highway 12 to 40th Ave/Fruitvale Blvd. Exit.
  3. There is a stoplight at the end of the ramp at Fruitvale and N. 40th.
  4. Ahead to your right will be Taco Bell and Fred Meyer.
  5. Proceed straight across Fruitvale onto N. 40th.
  6. You will be going up the hill to Summitview Avenue (about 1.5 miles).
  7. Get into the far, far right turn lane.
  8. Turn right at the 5th stop light onto Summitview Avenue.
  9. You will see the Westpark Mall on your right.
  10. Proceed a scant mile up Summitview Avenue and drive past 56th Avenue stop light.
  11. The Chalet Mall is on your right.
  12. At the second Chalet Mall entrance, turn right. (There is a liquor store at the corner where you turn.)
  13. The library is a brick building at the far end of the parking lot.
  14. The bookdrop is visible at the end of the building.
  15. If you come to ShopKo on Summitview Ave., you have gone too far. There is a driveway from Shopko parking lot to the Chalet Mall lot.

From downtown Yakima Library:

  1. Turn right onto 2nd street and drive to West Lincoln.
  2. Turn left onto West Lincoln and drive to 56th Avenue.
  3. Turn left on 56th Ave. at the 4 way stop.
  4. Proceed to the first stop light, Summitview Avenue
  5. Turn right onto Summitview Avenue.
  6. The Chalet Mall is on your right.
  7. At the second Chalet Mall entrance, turn right. (There is a liquor store at the corner where you turn.)
  8. The library is a brick building at the far end of the parking lot.
  9. The bookdrop is visible at the end of the building.
  10. If you come to ShopKo on Summitview Ave., you have gone too far. . There is a driveway from Shopko parking lot to the Chalet Mall lot.

Parking:

You may park anywhere in the lot in front of the library.
