Granger has a long tradition of library service; the first library was established in 1914. Housed in a former church, with a dinosaur mother and baby in the backyard, the current Granger Library is a lively place. Early in the day adults come in for browsing and chat, and after the elementary school lets out across the street, children rush in for books, crafts, games, and sometimes tea with the older set. There are also frequent story times for preschoolers and tours for elementary school-agers.
Anyone wishing to join the Friends of the Library, call the Granger librarian, Nan Ides, 509-854-1446.
